Grow School: Summer Cut Flowers
Learn how to grow an abundance of summer flowers for creating your own beautiful arrangements and bouquets. Growing flowers is what we love at Nourish, and we are delighted to be able to share our place and joy, experience and knowledge with you.
Practical instruction will take place at Nourish Gardens Flower Farm. At the end of the workshop you will have a ‘take home’ pack of a range of seeds, seedlings and plants to help establish your own productive home cut flower garden. We cater for both beginners and those more experienced who want to step up their growing skills, and those who just want to hang out with other flower lovers!
We’ll also share a delicious locally catered lunch. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

-Specific growing information for a variety of annual & perennial cut flowers
-Cut flower propagation – growing from seeds, cuttings and other methods
-Harvesting and post-harvest tips to keep flowers fresher for longer

Tutoring, resource materials, your own plants & seeds to take home, and a delicious lunch.
TO BRING
-Clothes & closed shoes suitable for the weather conditions, and that you don’t mind getting a bit of soil on. If it’s wet we may well be heading outside regardless!
-Gardening gloves (if you have your own – we will lend otherwise).

Christy is a teacher and gardener and loves to combine these two passions. She is the owner of Nourish Gardens, a diversified flower farm, and co-tutors the Floral Business Activator flower farming mentorship programme.
